Extract the same cells from up to 5,000 Excel files at once

The free Cell Collector for Excel pulls the same cells out of up to 10 Excel files per run and gives you one table, one row per file, with no VBA. A Pro key removes the 10-file limit, so you can collect up to 5,000 files at once. It’s a one-time purchase of $29 (USD) for one person, not a subscription.

Pro never uploads your files either. The tool runs entirely in your browser, and your Pro key is checked on your computer without going online. Apart from loading this site, the only things sent over the internet are your payment to Gumroad and, each time you activate, your Gumroad license key (our server sends it to Gumroad to confirm the purchase).

Cell Collector for Excel

Click the cells you need in one copy of your form, drop in every file you collected, and get a single CSV or Excel table with one row per file.

Free
Up to 10 files per run. Files after the 10th stay in the list marked “Not processed”, so you can export and continue with the next 10.
Pro
No 10-file limit: up to 5,000 files at once. Measured on our test machine (4 cores, 16 GB of memory), 1,000 small form files (10–30 KB each) took about 10 seconds, and 5,000 took about 49 seconds.

The file limit is the only thing Pro changes today. Everything else works the same as in the free version, so please try the free version with your own files before you buy. Speed depends on your computer and the size of your files.

Already bought Pro?

Gumroad emailed you a license key. Exchange it for your Pro key on the activation page. You can also come back there if you lose your Pro key.

Activate your license key

Checkout is handled by Gumroad, which is the merchant of record: it processes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and emails your receipt. See Terms, refunds & privacy for the details.

How activation works

  1. Buy on GumroadThe Buy button takes you to Gumroad’s checkout. Your card details go to Gumroad, never through this site. Gumroad then emails you a receipt with a license key.
  2. Activate your license keyPaste the Gumroad license key on our activation page. It’s checked with Gumroad, and your Pro key, starting with HGM1-, appears right away. Copy it and save it in a notes app or password manager.
  3. Paste your Pro key into the toolIn Cell Collector for Excel, press “Already bought? Enter Pro key”, paste your Pro key and press “Turn on Pro”. The 10-file limit is gone (up to 5,000 files at once).

About your Pro key

  • The tool checks your Pro key on your computer only. Entering it never sends anything over the internet.
  • Your browser remembers the key, so you only enter it once per browser.
  • On another computer or browser, or after clearing your browsing data, just paste the key again.
  • Keep the key safe: save it in a notes app or password manager as soon as you get it.

Refunds

  • If the tool doesn’t work on your files and we can’t fix it, we’ll give you a full refund. Just ask within 14 days of purchase.
  • Otherwise we don’t offer refunds. Pro keys are checked offline on your computer, so we can’t turn a key off after it has been issued.

Questions

Does Pro work offline?

Yes. Once you’ve activated and entered your Pro key, the tool checks it on your computer, so Pro keeps working without an internet connection. Only the activation step itself needs to reach Gumroad.

Can I use it on more than one computer?

Yes, on all of your own computers and browsers. Paste the same Pro key into each one. A license is for one person, so please don’t share the key with other people.

Is this a subscription?

No. You pay $29 once. There are no monthly or renewal fees, and the key doesn’t expire.

Can my team share one license?

No. Each license is for one person, so each person who uses Pro needs their own.

What if I lose my Pro key?

Open the activation page again and paste your Gumroad license key (it’s in your Gumroad receipt). You’ll get your Pro key again.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Cell Collector for Excel reads and collects your files inside your browser, with or without Pro. Activation sends only your Gumroad license key to Gumroad, never your files.

How do I get a receipt?

Gumroad emails your receipt to the address you enter at checkout.
